About me

I'm an audio DSP engineer and researcher working at the intersection of industrial product development and academic research, with a focus on sound synthesis, nonlinear systems, and musical signal processing.
I help companies research, design, implement, and validate digital audio algorithms, while also developing tools and plugins for musicians, developers, and researchers.
What I do
- Industrial DSP engineering: I collaborate with companies all around the world on the design and implementation of synthesis, effects, and signal-processing algorithms for software, hardware, embedded systems, and web platforms.
- Research and development: I actively conduct and publish research in audio signal processing, bridging theoretical models with practical constraints and real-world applications.
- Tools and plugins: I develop and release tools and plugins for musicians, developers, and researchers.
Background
I hold B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Computer Engineering from Politecnico di Torino and a D.Sc. (Tech.) degree in Signal Processing and Acoustics from Aalto University, Finland.
From 2015 to 2017, I led DSP research and development at Arturia in Grenoble, France, contributing to the design of commercial audio products.
Since 2018, I have been working as an independent consultant and researcher based in Italy.
In 2021, I founded Orastron to support structured industrial collaborations, and in 2024 I launched Clack.DIGITAL as a platform for user-facing audio products.
Credentials and recognition
- Member of the Association of Engineers of the Province of Salerno (Italy) — membership #7093, section A
- Recognized individual expert for Research Tax Credit (CIR) by the French Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation (2018–2023)
- CERTing Advanced certification in physical–mathematical modeling, issued by the Italian Agency for the Certification of Engineering Skills
- Peer reviewer for journals and conferences in audio signal processing and music technology
Companies and projects
My work is supported and distributed through multiple entities:
- Orastron — structured industrial DSP consulting and algorithm licensing
- Clack.DIGITAL — user-facing audio products
Additional projects, publications, and tools are documented throughout this website.
